Ms. Voinou

Ms. Voinou is an ESL teacher at BHES. 

 

Ms. Voinou has had a heartfelt journey in her passion for education. Recalling a decision made as early as Grade 6, she expressed a lifelong commitment to teaching, fueled by a genuine fondness for both school and the experience of working with children. Ms. Voinou emphasized the joy she finds in the unique nature of each teaching day and the opportunity to connect with a diverse range of individuals.

 

Reflecting on her own school years, Ms. Voinou described herself as a diligent student and hard worker. She said that she recognized the importance of school and grades, and worked hard to please her teachers. 

 

When asked about her experience working with ESL (English as Second Language) students, Ms. Voinou described it as a rewarding experience. She noted that unlike other school subjects, ESL is easy to teach because the students are eager to learn. 

 

In her advice for aspiring educators, she emphasized the importance of avoiding overwhelming yourself as well as taking the time to understand students and prioritizing their individual needs.
